During Saturday's Global Citizen Festival, FIFA and Global Citizen announced that they will produce a Super Bowl-inspired halftime show for the 2026 FIFA World Cup Final, in collaboration with Global Citizen. The first show is set for July 19, 2026, at New York New Jersey Stadium.

FIFA president Gianni Infantino, Global Citizen CEO Hugh Evans, and ambassador Hugh Jackman made the announcement during Global Citizen's festival in New York, with DJ Khaled and Gayle King present. They highlighted that the partnership aims not only to entertain but also to combat extreme poverty and improve children's access to sports and education worldwide.

"FIFA’s mission is to develop football in every corner of the world and to have a positive impact on society,” FIFA president Gianni Infantino said in a statement. “Through this partnership, FIFA and Global Citizen will bring together the worlds of sport and entertainment to actively contribute to a better world. We are committing to a series of joint activities that will help promote access to football and engage fans of the sport in an effort to create positive change in their local communities.”

Global Citizen, an advocacy group focused on creating entertainment events aimed at eradicating world hunger, has a four-year agreement with FIFA and the 2026 Final will be the first event planned between the two organizations.
