After 8 years away, Dancehall luminary Alkaline ignited the OVO Arena Wembley with a sold-out show that delivered pure energy and emotion.

Hosted by English Fire, the night kicked off in high gear with Armzhouse Records’ Maurice declaring London officially “on fire.” Alkaline took fans on a journey through his extensive catalog, delivering crowd favorites like “City,” “Company,” and the anthem that defined his rise—“Champion Boy.”

The ladies were not left out, as Alkaline serenaded the venue with hits like “On Fleek,” “Pretty Girl Team,” and “One More Time,” effortlessly connecting with his audience. The performance skillfully balanced emotional moments and high-energy delivery, running through bangers like “After All,” “Extra Lesson,” and “Ride On Me” without missing a beat.

Special guests added more flair to the night, including dancehall new-gen acts Armanii and RajahWild, who amped up the crowd with their own standout performances. British R&B/hip-hop group WSTRN also joined Alkaline on stage to perform their hit single “Txtin.” Later, backstage, the group presented Alkaline with a certified silver plaque in celebration of the track.

A live violinist elevated the emotional tone of songs like “Side Chick” and “Moving Mountains,” turning the concert into a truly immersive experience.

The internet reactions have been overwhelmingly positive, with fans and critics praising the performance. Among those in attendance was Chelsea FC striker Nicolas Jackson, a known dancehall fan, who gifted Alkaline an official club jersey.

With his UK return hailed as a major success, Alkaline now sets his sights on the next stops of his New Rules Festival tour—Toronto on June 21, followed by a highly anticipated show at Trelawny Stadium in Jamaica on July 5.
