The up-and-coming artist teams up with the legendary sons for a fresh spiritual release: "Grateful for this opportunity"
Badlife with Meleku & Leelo
Up-and-coming artist Badlife has joined forces with Meleuku, the son of Jamaican icon Sizzla, and Leelo, the son of legendary Buju Banton, for a spiritually charged single titled 'Protect Me,' released through Rebel Records and Highest Audio Productions.
In this collaborative effort, each of the three artists presents their unique version, conveying a compelling message seeking guidance and protection. The accompanying music video, crafted by the up-and-coming cinematographer from Bankroller Visuals, enhances the impact of the release.
Badlife, (Born Terence Swire) chose to pursue music seriously and expresses joy in the opportunity to collaborate with the next generation of legendary artists like Sizzla and Buju. "Sizzla and Buju are iconic figures in Jamaica, so working with their successors is a tremendous opportunity, and I'm grateful for it," he shared.
Taking inspiration from the current trend of trap-dancehall, BadLife brings a fresh perspective to conveying messages. He recently partnered with the talented producer DJ Mac for the track 'See Pree.'
Describing his musical style as a fusion of hip-hop and dancehall, Badlife cites influences from artists such as Lil Wayne, Masicka, Tommy Lee, Popcaan, and Vybz Kartel, shaping his unique approach to the music scene.
