'King of Dancehall', Beenie Man, jumps on his first Amapiano single, 'Boom Boom' (Amapiano Mix), produced by South Africa's UPZ with rising Uganda's artist Jokwiz Klean on co-lead vocals.

Boom Boom originated in Uganda when Jokwiz, working on his debut single, caught the attention of Beenie Man, who added a catchy chorus and verse. South African producer UPZ then fused the track with his Amapiano and Afrofusion sound, creating a Pan-African collaboration.

"I had the incredible opportunity to spend time with the Beenie Man and members of the RUFFKUTT band, living a dream. On his final day in Uganda, I played him some of my tracks, as suggested by Benji RuffKutt. The moment the song started, he immediately began to freestyle over the song. And everyone loving the flow. He naturally blessed me. And just like that, BOOM BOOM was born.', shared Ugandan artiste Jokwiz.

The single takes listeners on a musical journey as the two dancehall artists trade verses in their native languages—Patois, English, Rugika, and Luganda—while the track layers multiple hooks, building up to a saxophone solo before reaching its final coda.

It was a real honor for me to collaborate on Beenie Man's first amapiano production and really loved Jokwiz's vocals as well; such a great marriage of these two artists and I really dig the sax solo and key changes which adds an unexpected twist to the groove", added UPZ.
