Legendary reggae artist Beres Hammond marked his 69th birthday in style with the release of a visualizer for his latest single, “Let Me Help You,” on August 28. Directed and edited by SAMO, the visualizer enhances the soulful track with a compelling visual narrative, featuring cameos from notable figures such as Machel Montano, Sevana, D’Yani, and more. The video seamlessly blends concert footage with personal photos, offering fans an intimate look at Beres' remarkable musical journey.

“Let Me Help You” is a re-recording version of Beres's 1988 hidden gem, “Let Me Help You Smile Again,” released on May 3 under Harmony House / VP Records. Much like the original, this new rendition was entirely produced, arranged, written, and performed by Beres himself. It's a rare treat in his vast discography, as he has only revisited and re-recorded a handful of songs throughout his illustrious five-decade career.

The decision to revisit the track was sparked by a conversation about its lyrics during a call from his office, prompting Beres to reconnect with the 36-year-old song. Upon discovering that the original master recording was lost, he chose to recreate it, enlisting longtime collaborator and drummer Kirk “Kirkledove” Bennett. Bennett brought together a talented team of musicians, including the legendary saxophonist player Dean Fraser, to replace the original's digital elements with live instrumentation, giving the 2024 version a fresh and vibrant sound.iginal with live instrumentation, breathing new life into the classic.

Upon its release, “Let Me Help You” captured widespread attention, earning a spot on Spotify's New Music Friday billboards in both New York City’s Times Square and Toronto’s Yonge-Dundas Square—a rare distinction typically reserved for album launches rather than singles. Beres Hammond unveiled the single during his annual Love and Harmony Cruise in April, where he performed a memorable all-white concert at sea, setting the stage for the track's impactful debut.

Following this, Beres embarked on an extensive tour across North America, visiting cities like New York, Toronto, Miami, and Los Angeles, where he thrilled fans with his timeless hits and soulful performances.
