Beyoncé and Kendrick Lamar Are the Big Winners at the 67th Grammy Awards

Beyoncé and Kendrick Lamar are the biggest winners at the 67th Grammy Awards, held Sunday night in Los Angeles. Beyoncé, who the record holder for the most Grammy awards added three more to her collection, bringing her career total to 35.


Beyoncé finally won the Album of the Year award for Cowboy Carter at the 67th Grammy Awards, a long-awaited achievement in her illustrious career. The award was presented by Los Angeles firefighters who recently battled the city's devastating wildfires.


"I'd like to thank, acknowledge, and praise all of the firefighters for keeping us safe. I just feel very full and very honored. It's been many, many years, and I just want to thank the Grammys, every songwriter, every collaborator, every producer—for all of the hard work," Beyoncé said in her emotional acceptance speech.



Kendrick Lamar also made a major impact, winning both Song of the Year and Record of the Year for his hit "Not Like Us".



Jamaican dancehall superstar Shenseea was among the nominees for Best Reggae Album at the 67th Grammy Awards, a category won by the "Bob Marley: One Love film soundtrack", in which she also took a part.


Ahead of Beyoncé receiving her award, Shenseea praised the global icon, saying, "I think she deserves it. She's been working for such a long time, she's a big inspiration to us all, and she's definitely a pioneer as a superstar—complete perfection."



Vybz Kartel, who earned his first Grammy nomination, was a major highlight at this year’s awards, drawing excitement from attendees, including popular streamer Kai Cenat. The Worl' Boss also linked with Ghanaian singer and four-time Grammy nominee Rocky Dawuni, telling him, "If you’re nominated 4 times, then you’re doing something good."
