On Friday, December 13, the British Phonographic Industry (BPI) issued the track a BRIT Certified Silver award, recognizing its enduring popularity.

Originally recorded in 1975, Natural Mystic was re-recorded for the iconic 1977 album Exodus, produced at Island’s Basing Street Studios in London. this marks Marley's first Silver-certified track in the UK that is not included on his best-selling Legend deluxe compilation, which continues to dominate the iTunes Reggae Albums chart.
The song also appears on Natural Mystic: The Legend Lives On, a curated collection of album tracks that serves as an addendum to the 1984 compilation album Legend. Furthermore, The Guardian named it among Marley's top 30 songs of all time.
