Dancehall legends Bounty Killer and Beenie Man, veteran singer Nadine Sutherland, and deejay Admiral Bailey are among over 200 Jamaicans honoured today on National Heroes' Day for their outstanding contributions to culture, politics, health, justice, and other areas.
The ceremony, held at the National Indoor Sports Centre in St. Andrew, saw the Governor-General bestow the Order of Distinction in the Rank of Officer upon Rodney Pryce, more popularly known as Bounty Killer, Moses Davis, aka Beenie Man, and Nadine Sutherland for their significant contributions to the Jamaican music industry at this year's National Honours and Awards Ceremony.
Both Bounty Killer and Beenie Man are renowned as industry powerhouses, celebrated for their decades of influence on dancehall, nurturing future generations, and serving as ambassadors for Jamaican music.
