Bounty Killer set to pay tribute to late veteran & friend Boom Dandimite at ‘Its Tha Party’

Killa’s 51st birthday is set to be held on Saturday in Kingston, including performances from his fellow artistes such as Aidonia, Jah Vinci and Munga Honorable

The legendary Bounty Killer is set to celebrate his 51st birthday on Saturday, June 10 at his ‘Its Tha Party’ annual event to be held at the UDC Car Park, Downtown Kingston.


After celebrating his milestone 50th birthday in similar fashion last year, this year's event will be included a tribute to Bounty Killer's late friend, veteran deejay, Boom Dandimite who might have played the biggest role in Bounty’s Career.

Boom Dandimite, who hails from the same community of Seaview Gardens in Kingston as Bounty, was the one who took him to the studio for the very first time. He passed away on May 21st after succumbing to injuries received from a recent car accident; while traveling to the United States Of America for further medical attention.


In customary fashion, a host of artistes are expected to grace the stage with live performances. Fellow artistes such as Aidonia, Charly Black, Jah Vinci and Munga Honorable who also celebrates his birthday with an event in Port Maria on Friday, June 9th have all publicly endorsed the Dancehall General’s inaugural event. Internationally known US-based producer and label mogul, DJ Khaled has also shared in the promotion and marketing of his dear friend’s imminent event. Before the artistes grace the stage, the musical onslaught will be provided by TNR Entertainment, Bishop Escobar, Game Changaz, Coppershot Sound, Sky Juice and more who will maintain the energetic party vibes.

The poor people governor, as he is more popularly referred to, has been dominant with his performances for over three decades and is one of the dancehall brand ambassadors around the world.


Bounty Killer is responsible for nurturing and highlighting generations of artistes. He founded the Alliance group back in the 2000s and brought increased recognition to of some of the leading dancehall artistes in the genre’s history - Vybz Kartel, Mavado, Aidonia, Busy Signal, Wayne Marshal, Bling Dwag, Scare Dem Crew (including the late Boom Dandimite), among many others.
