Bugle Drops Fifth Studio Album 'Apex' Featuring Impressive Lineup

Reggae artist Bugle releases his fifth studio album, Apex, today, Friday, August 23. The 16-track album, which Bugle describes as "a powerful journey through the human experience," explores themes of love, life, faith, and social justice.


Apex boasts an impressive lineup of collaborators, including Buju Banton, Damian 'Jr Gong' Marley, Capleton, Maxi Priest, Barrington Levy, and Tifa. The album kicks off with "Apex Intro," featuring Ras Shadai, setting the stage for a deeply personal and cohesive journey. Standout tracks like "Thank You Lord," a collaboration with Buju Banton and Damian Marley, and "Hopes (Small World)" featuring Capleton, showcase Bugle's talent for blending traditional reggae with contemporary sounds highlight Bugle's ability to blend traditional reggae with modern sounds.



The previous release, the powerful song "Heart Too Clean" featuring Chaps, also set the tone for Bugle's latest body of work.


Born Roy Thompson, Bugle began his musical journey at an early age, but his big break came in the 2000s with hit singles such as "What We Gonna Do," "Pearly Gates," and "Blame Life." He solidified his place in the reggae scene with the 2014 hit "Anointed," which became a defining moment in his career.
