Buju Banton, set to make history in the west coast
Dancehall and reggae icon Buju Banton is set to make history this summer, becoming the first reggae artist to headline at Planet Hollywood Las Vegas on June 7.
Marking his long-awaited return to the West Coast, the Grammy-winning artist will first take the stage at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles on June 5, before heading to Las Vegas two days later.
Banton announced the shows on Tuesday via his social media, giving West Coast fans their first opportunity to see him live in over 16 years. He also performed at Amerant Bank Arena in Fort Lauderdale, Amalie Arena in Tampa, as well as shows in Atlanta, Barclays Center, and Canada. During these shows, he brought out special guests, including Fridayy, Gramps Morgan and Wayne Wonder.
Some dates of his Overcomer tour have been rescheduled to 2025, including shows in Boston, Philadelphia, Hartford, Houston, Dallas, Phoenix, and Chicago, which were originally set to take place this year.
With a career spanning decades and a catalog filled with timeless hits, Buju Banton continues to captivate audiences worldwide. Fans can expect an unforgettable evening of classic anthems and fresh music from his latest projects, all delivered with his signature energy and powerful messages.
