Kittitian rising dancehall star, Byron Messia continues to elevate & revel in his recent success. The St. Kitts-based / Jamaican-born artiste has experienced meteoric success in every field of his musical journey since the release of his debut album, "No Love".
Byron Messia, (born Dylon Byron) elevated to stardom through one of the most popular songs in Dancehall right now - "Talibans", which just surpassed the 20 million views mark on YouTube, while garnering thousands more streams on all other digital streaming platforms worldwide.
The 23-year-old talent is now receiving global attention; with the rapid growth of his fanbase as clear evidence of his tremendous success. The impressive surge in his Instagram followers, increasing by more than 50%, passing the 100K mark shows the interest & demand for the artiste currently.
Messia, who does not own a Facebook business page, has also increased the number of subscribers on his YouTube channel which currently stands at more than 150k. Unsurprisingly, "Talibans" has been making the most noise on the platform, however, his single, "Moca" has recently passed 5.3 million views, and his latest collaboration "Stranger To Happiness" featuring dancehall artiste Govana has already garnered 1.1 million views on YouTube in just a month since its release. Even his latest single, "90z" which was released just 6 days ago, has already racked up 500K views. The artiste’s numbers continue to soar with the release of new content.
His impact is also crossing into the streaming field; making him one of the most-played artistes in the entire Caribbean, with millions of listeners as a result of the almost 637 thousand monthly listeners on his Spotify channel. "Talibans" has once again gained the most listeners with almost 4 million listeners while other singles such as "Dream Team", "Smallest Circle" and "Vent" also topped his list.
Evidently, his ongoing success has led to his signing with major US-based label, Interscope Records for a multi-album deal. Byron Messia has become one of the most talked about artiste in Dancehall, portraying a promising future with a new style & flow which he describes in a recent interview on Dash Radio, as "dance-soul", a blend of the Dancehall and Soul music genres.
