Caribbean Music Awards Announces Third Edition in NYC for August 28, 2025

The Caribbean Music Awards returns for its third annual event at Kings Theatre in Brooklyn on August 28, 2025, to celebrate Dancehall, Soca, Reggae, and the vibrant Caribbean culture

The Caribbean Music Awards has announced the date for its highly anticipated third annual event, set for Thursday, August 28, in Kings Theatre, Brooklyn, New York.


After two impressive editions in the past two years, the event continues to shine a spotlight on Caribbean music and culture, honoring the region's most influential artists and contributors.



Last year's edition, held in August, saw numerous awards handed out to artists across various genres. Masicka took home the Album of the Year award for Dancehall, Buju Banton was awarded Album of the Year for Reggae, Valiant was honored as Male Artist of the Year in Dancehall, while Shenseea won Female Artist of the Year in Dancehall, and Lila Ike received the award in the Reggae category.


The event celebrated a wide array of genres, including Soca, Dancehall, and Reggae, and also recognized significant contributions from industry veterans. Jamaican super producer Stephen 'Di Genius' McGregor received the Caribbean Music Awards Producer Honoree, while the Queen of Reggae, Marcia Griffiths, was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award. Barbadian soca artist Alison Hinds took home the Elite Icon Award, and Cedella Marley was presented with the Legacy Award.
