Best Weekend Ever kicks off with seven events in five days boasting a star-studded Independence weekend lineup

With seven events in five days, the Best Weekend Ever Destination Event promises an extraordinary experience this Independence Weekend (August 2-6) in Ocho Rios, St. Ann. Festival organizers have curated a fantastic lineup of artists with multi-generational appeal, ready to light up multiple stages and leave the audience in high spirits.
The "I Love Soca Cooler" Festival kicks off on Friday, August 2, at Plantation Cove with a "Candy Land" theme and a performance by Preedy. New to the weekend lineup is "Rise and Toast", dubbed as "Best Day Party" by the Miami New Times. On Monday, August 5, veteran dancehall artiste Cham will headline the "Old skool, new skool" themed event.
Later that night, female dancehall star Stalk Ashley will grace the stage at Allure, enthralling the crowd with her stage presence. The weekend will close with fast-rising dancehall star Rajah Wild performing at Late Check Out on August 6, where the audience will be "Wild(in) Out." Both events will be held at Pearly Beach.
Best Weekend Ever Director, Dwayne Dacres expressed his anticipation for each performance by saying; "we are thrilled to showcase this exceptional line-up for Best Weekend Ever 2024. The diverse talent and energy these artistes exude and their appeal to a wide cross-section of patrons will make this year's staging the most memorable experience."
Hinting at the possibility of even more performances he continued "We’ve created an atmosphere that is known to attract the most sought after entertainers in Jamaica, the Caribbean and North America who come to enjoy the events and make stage cameos for the love of the weekend and their fans; so come early and enjoy as each event unfolds, because there will be surprises."
Best Weekend Ever also features Daybreak with a Moroccan brunch aesthetic and New York’s fashionable Milk and Honey event on Saturday, August 3, at Plantation Cove. The renowned “Zimi Seh Beach” will dominate Sunday, August 4, at Puerto Seco Beach. This third staging of Best Weekend Ever promises exclusivity and luxurious entertainment, celebrating Jamaican Independence with premium brands like Smirnoff, Johnnie Walker, Rum Stripe, Casamigos, and Don Julio. The event is endorsed by the Jamaica Tourist Board.
