Dancehall icon Bounty Killer has had his U.S. visa reinstated after a 15-year hiatus, marking his return to American soil. The artist, whose visa was revoked in 2010 under undisclosed circumstances, landed in the U.S. on Tuesday, sharing the news on his social media accounts.


In a social media post, The General acknowledged his late mother, Ms. Ivey, and extended heartfelt thanks to his manager, Paul 'Bankey' Giscombe, for his unwavering dedication throughout the process. Bounty Killer also expressed appreciation for the support from the U.S. Consulate General and embassy staff during his visa application.



Upon his arrival in the United States, Bounty Killer shared his elation on social media, stating, "God is the greatest all the time despite how it may seem... I arrived in the States with no hassle." He also expressed gratitude to his attorney, Bridgette M. Bennett, for her effective assistance in the visa reinstatement process.


With his arrival in the U.S., The General linked up with world-renowned DJ Khaled, who has a strong bond with the Jamaican music industry. Both shared footage of their reunion on social media.



Now, he has the opportunity not only to reconnect with his U.S.-based fans but also to explore new avenues for performances and collaborations in the American music scene.
