Spaceman finds his groove with 'Sin City'
Renowned Jamaican video director and producer Ruppi has provided a platform for rising talents to shine on his latest viral riddim, 'Tun It Up Loud'. The project features a blend of current dancehall front-runners like RajahWild and Skippa, alongside emerging voices. One of the newcomers making waves is Spaceman, who seized the opportunity to release his single 'Sin City', accompanied by captivating visuals that are already generating positive reactions.
“The words flowed easy. 'Tonight we come alive inna the big city,' and the rest was easy to follow the concept,” Spaceman shared, explaining how the inspiration for the song came naturally from the energy of the riddim. He also discussed how the visuals took shape: “Cvlture came up with the idea to use the movie concept, and we did our best to bring it to life.”
Reflecting on how the single represents his artistic identity and sound moving forward, Spaceman said, “As an artist, I like to make music that brightens people’s mood and catches the bounce of the riddim. My hope is that if Sin City is somebody’s first time listening to my music, they get a good first impression of who SpacemanUFO is and become familiar with my voice and style.”
A unique moment during the video shoot added an unexpected layer of authenticity to the final product. Spaceman revealed how an accident on set turned into a memorable part of the project: “After seeing how people on social media reacted to just the snippet that Ruppi shared on TikTok and Instagram on popular pages such as QuesTimes, 24Dancehall and BaayTings, we knew we had to make good of it. In the moment, our main concern was her well-being, not the footage, but it ended up adding something genuine to the video.”
With 'Sin City' gaining momentum, Spaceman’s entry onto the Tun It Up Loud riddim signals a promising trajectory as he aims to capture both hearts and playlists with his distinctive sound.
