Dancehall producer Ayo Daze of Dethwrld Records, the right hand of ShotbyDeth, has been making waves in the dancehall scene in recent months.
He recently teamed up with dancehall deejay Chi Ching Ching for the catchy new track SupaBowl, showcasing the artiste’s distinctive vibe and flow. The release comes just in time for the Super Bowl, which took place this past Sunday.
"This collaboration actually came about through my Catalog business partners," he shared, while mentioning that the song came via the collaborative label of Catalog Music. "Ching was in the studio working on something else when we introduced him to the riddim, and he instantly caught a vibe. Working with him has been nothing short of inspiring. Beyond bringing high energy and good vibes, he knows exactly what he wants his music to sound like."
Continuing to praise Chi Ching Ching, the producer added, "The entire experience of making this record was memorable. Ching is a veteran in the game, so just having the opportunity to work with him was amazing. Beyond the creative aspect, it was a great learning experience—getting insight from someone who’s been in the industry for years and seeing how he approaches both the business and artistic sides of his craft. It was one of those sessions where everything just clicked, and the energy was right from start to finish."

Ayo Daze has also been working with rising dancehall and reggae artists like M3chie and Tanzie. "They’re different, especially compared to what’s being made or considered 'hot' right now," he shared. "M3chie is a powerhouse vocalist, bringing back music for the ladies that doesn’t rely on the typical ‘skin out’ approach but instead focuses on smooth, melodic storytelling. Tanzie, on the other hand, is the full package—she’s got the voice, the range, and a natural star presence. When you put them together, it’s magic. I Got You is the perfect example of that synergy," the producer resonated.
Talking about the reactions so far, Ayo Daze stated, "The response has been really positive so far. Both of them are incredibly talented and committed to pushing their sound to the next level. If they keep putting in the work, there’s no limit to where they can go. They both have so much potential."
Together with his collaborator, Keanu ‘ShotByDeth’ Gordon, the head of DethWrld Records, Ayo Daze is putting in the work this year. The Super Bowl Riddim is set to become a juggling project, while other productions like Calypso Waist Riddim, featuring "Moonlight" by NyMZ, and Buckingham Riddim are also in the pipeline, with the latter gearing up for its second-half release.
"All of these riddims feature some phenomenal talent, and of course, there are other major projects on the way—but for now, that’s all I can reveal without giving too much away. Just know that a lot of big things are coming this year, so everyone should stay tuned," Daze emphasized.
