Following his 2020 debut album, "Now I Rise", the eight-track LP titled "High Times" is a steady burn of life's most precious moments that uplift the mind, body and soul. The "High With You" music video showcases beautiful scenery, vibrant colours, and artistic storytelling.

"It’s not a typical marijuana song. As a matter of fact, some people may not even think it’s a marijuana song the way I’ve structured the lyrics, but if you listen keenly everything I sang about relates to the ‘female’ plant marijuana," Dre said.

"The song is about my early encounters with the plant and how I was viewed and even scrutinised, then for using it (by my Mum and people in general). Now, it’s a source of inspiration for not only me but the world," he added.

The album’s title track featuring dancehall prodigy Skillibeng is a straightforward celebration of simple pleasures—papers and good kush—paired to the sounds of swirling key chords and a thick trap bassline produced by Jafrass.

"The herb/marijuana is my first inspiration. Each of the eight tracks speaks individually of different moments of getting high, being high or living high. However, those who do not smoke can still rock with it. I designed it that way. It is about having a good time, living life to the best of its ability and appreciating nature. Whether it's motivating yourself to stay in that uplifting moment or just keep that high energy and soul. Meditate on life in its purest form", explains the artiste whose born Andre Johnson.
