Dream Ent. Takes Over Arnett Gardens FC Management, Eyes Renaldo Cephas Signing

Dream Entertainment joins forces with Arnett Gardens Football Club, aiming for long-term success, opposition leader Mark Golding stating, "The principles of Dream Entertainment have already established themselves"

Jamaica's premier entertainment brand, Dream Entertainment, has taken over the management of Arnett Gardens Football Club.


During a press conference held yesterday, Dream, one of Jamaica's leading entertainment brands, announced its partnership with Arnett Gardens Football Club.


Mark Golding, Chairman of Arnett Gardens Football Club and Leader of the Opposition, stated, “I was seeking a commercial partner to help to guide strategy and manage the club to grow revenue and achieve financial sustainability. And this is important because any enterprise needs to achieve that in order to be there for the medium and long term [goals]."



Golding also emphasized the capabilities of Dream Weekend Entertainment, noting, "The principles of dream entertainment who I think are young, who have already established themselves in the field of entertainment as being innovators and very capable executors of events."


The agreement came into effect on September 1st, with Mark Golding expressing interest in the signing of Reggae Boyz winger, Renaldo Cephas. “We signed Renaldo Cephas as our first major international signing two years ago to a club in North Macedonia. He’s now in Turkey and may be looking to move again,” Golding shared. “And more recently we’ve signed a young talent with great potential, now a national player, Hakeem Dixon to Charleton Athletic”.


"Sports is by far the biggest consumed part of the entertainment," said Scott Dunn, Managing Director of Dream Entertainment Ltd. "We [Dream] own the two largest music festivals in Jamaica, which are Dream Weekend & Exodus Carnival. Dream Weekend 2023 was according to the Jamaican Tourist Board data was about 80% international, Exodus was around 70%."



Arnett Gardens Captain Fabian Reid added, "Arnett is a community with passion and pride, so I'm glad Dream has come on board to help the community. As long as football is being played and we're winning, the support will always be there."


"The talent in community and Jamaica, seeing opportunities in football are real," Golding concluded. "Football does present tremendous career potential of talented Jamaicans if they apply themselves, approach their life with discipline and maximise their talent at the same time."


The Arnett Gardens Football Club, based in Kingston, was founded 47 years ago and has won five Jamaica Premier League titles, with their most recent championship coming in the 2016/17 season.
