Veteran reggae artiste Droop Lion
Roots reggae artiste Droop Lion is supporting The Queen’s School music band with a live performance on February 22, 2025.
The concert, promoted by Born Music, will also feature reggae acts such as Lukie D, Nature Ellis, Prophecy, Tellah, and Andrew Paul.
“It is important and crucial for us to support the development of music skills in schools. For us, music is more than a message; it is a way for the youth to cultivate discipline and expand their skills,” Droop Lion explained. “We look forward to the contributions that these young ladies will make to the music industry.”
Born Andrew Brown, Droop Lion expressed concern that the school lacks the resources to foster musical skills.
“As a real father figure, the children are always on our minds, and we try to make their journey more feasible. The theme Let the Children Dance is not just about moving their legs or heads; it is about bringing joy to the youth,” he said about the show, which will be held on the school’s grounds. “This concert is an invitation to contribute $5,000 to this worthy cause to further music education in Jamaica. Schools need the necessary equipment to engage with music. Come out and show your support.”
The singer, who has performed across Europe and the U.S. in recent years, promises the release of a new album and additional tour dates in Europe, using his powerful voice to spread a righteous message.
