Roots reggae band Dukes of Roots has earned a first-round nomination for the coveted Grammy Award in the Best Reggae Album category with their self-titled debut album Dukes of Roots. The initial voting period, which runs from October 4 to October 15, 2024.
Blending diverse musical influences under the guidance of Jamaican bass legend George “Fully” Fullwood, known for his work with icons like Bob Marley and Peter Tosh. The group features Grammy-winning producer and keyboardist Sean “YoungPow” Diedrick, African vocalist Mermans “Mo Faya” Mosengo, and Grammy Award-winning drummer Courtney “Bam” Diedrick. With guitarist and primary songwriter T Rod adding a fresh perspective, their sound uniquely transcends traditional reggae boundaries.

Their collaboration with Grammy-winning artist Kabaka Pyramid on "Feel The Love" has further expanded their reach, gaining global radio play and streaming success.
Reggae icon and producer Stephen Marley expressed his joy in being involved in the project, "The Dukes of Roots." "I love good music and being part of it. Working with Sean, Courtney, and the team was a highlight for me," shared Marley, who was featured on the single "Stick With Love.
