Netflix has revealed the five NBA stars set to headline the second season of its popular docuseries "Starting 5". The lineup includes Phoenix Suns All-Star and two-time NBA champion Kevin Durant, Boston Celtics' recent NBA Finals MVP Jaylen Brown, Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Indiana Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton, and seasoned Los Angeles Clippers guard James Harden.
Season 2 of "Starting 5" is expected to chronicle the 2024-25 NBA season, with an anticipated release date in October 2025, though Netflix has yet to confirm the exact premiere.
The series recently debuted on October 9, giving fans a close-up look at the rigorous NBA season through the perspectives of top players. Season 1 followed the journeys of LeBron James from the Los Angeles Lakers, Minnesota Timberwolves's Anthony Edwards, Miami Heat's Jimmy Butler, Domantas Sabonis of the Sacramento Kings, and NBA champion and Boston Celtics superstar Jayson Tatum as they navigated the 2023-24 season.
Similar to other popular Netflix sports docuseries like Quarterback and Wide Receiver, which were also produced by Peyton Manning's Omaha Productions, Starting 5 provides a unique perspective on the lives of elite athletes.
