Dancehall superstar Sean Paul and his label, Dutty Rock Productions in collaboration with Dave Kelly's Mad House Records, are revitalizing the iconic Showtime riddim with the "Dutty Showtime Riddim". Set for official release on November 8, 2024, this project features a blend of legendary artists and emerging talents, infusing fresh energy into the classic sound.

The tracklist includes Buju Banton's "Such Man Party", "It's Showtime" by Tarrus Riley, "All Dem Try" by Busy Signal, "Emergency" by Charly Black, and "Mama Warning" by Ward 21 and Sean Paul. Rising sensation J'calm also joins the lineup with his track "Don Julio," alongside "Loud" by Chi Ching Ching, "Can't Deny" by Ras Ajal, and "Tell Me Now" by Sotto Bless.

Sean Paul received clearance for the riddim from legendary producer Dave Kelly earlier this year, paving the way for the release of his track "Bring It." This track now leads into the full "Dutty Showtime Riddim" compilation.

“Dave Kelly reached out and said that I could use one of his rhythms. And, I immediately said, Showtime!,” Sean Paul explained earlier this year. “I was very happy when he told me I could get a cut of it. This year, a lot of people are revamping some riddims from the past, but we can all agree this is a classic.”

The Showtime Riddim was recently honored by Rolling Stone as one of the “25 Riddims That Have Defined Jamaican Music.” Featuring iconic hits like Bounty Killer's "Eagle And Di Hawk," Beenie Man's "Hypocrite," Shaggy and Rayvon's "Bashment Party," and Spragga Benz’s "We No Like," this riddim defined the sound of 1997 and continues to captivate fans worldwide.
