Double Olympic champion and the world’s fastest woman, Elaine Thompson-Herah, is in Germany seeking medical attention from the renowned Dr. Hans Müller-Wohlfahrt after sustaining an injury at the NYC Grand Prix on Sunday.


Dr. Müller-Wohlfahrt, known for treating numerous footballers, including players from German giants, Bayern Munich, and athletes like Usain Bolt.


According to reports in the Observer, there are concerns about her fitness for the Jamaican trials scheduled for June 27-30. However, Thompson-Herah is making efforts not to give up on the Olympic Games in Paris, which start on July 24.



In an interview with Athletics Weekly, Thompson-Herah reassured her fans with a positive update. Shared on their X handle (formerly Twitter), she stated: "I’m definitely confident, not super overconfident, but confident. I don’t want to apply too much pressure on myself as a reigning Olympic champion."


Despite the challenges ahead, Thompson-Herah remains focused on replicating her Tokyo success in Paris.
