Rising Jamaican talent Rain has teamed up with renowned producer CjChemist of Chemist Records and Valiant's label Raheem Wid The Book for her latest single, "PSG" (Perfect Side Gyal).
"PSG" boldly narrates the journey of a woman confidently embracing her role as the “perfect side gyal,” shattering traditional expectations and steering clear of relationship drama. With self-assurance, she sets clear boundaries, choosing comfort over commitment and personal strength over competition.
Rain, a 22-year-old emerging artist from St. Catherine, Jamaica, has been refining her musical talents since her debut earlier this year. She has now collaborated with renowned producer Steve "CjTheChemist" Rowe, known for his work on the 1 Matik riddim, which featured artists like Skeng and Govana, and the recent hit single "Higher Life" by Kranium featuring Chronic Law.
Rain, a protégé of dancehall star Valiant, has made her debut in the industry just a few months ago, she collaborated with her mentor on tracks like "Muhammad" and "Bonnie and Clyde", both serving as significant milestones in her budding career. "Bonnie and Clyde", produced by DJ Mac Music and Raheem Wid the Book, was released in July 2024, spotlighting Rain’s unique style and undeniable chemistry with Valiant.
