Rising Jamaican reggae band, F.Y.A.H., is set to drop their new track, "Cool Down," on April 4 via VP Records’ imprint Dub Rockers. With its old-school rub-a-dub rhythm, the song provides a soothing escape, centered around the idea of finding solace in the arms of a loved one after a taxing day.
"We just wanted to create a vibe for the working adults on the 9-5 or on the graveyard shift who are having a rough day, but that one special person waiting at home gives them the energy to get through it. It’s about that unconditional love with that special one," said Delroy ‘Pele’ Hamilton, the bassist, producer, and co-writer of the song.
"Cool Down" marks the latest release in a series of singles building anticipation for the band's upcoming debut album, "Free Your Authentic Heart," slated for release later this year. Preceding tracks include collaborations such as "I Believe" featuring the renowned "Dub Mechanic" Alborosie, "Freedom Fighter" featuring reggae legends Steel Pulse, and the more recent "Stronger," which dropped in February. The visualizer for "Cool Down" was crafted by Fred Debs.
