After not featuring in the 100m and 200m, respectively, Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce and Shericka Jackson will take no further part in the Paris Olympics and will not compete in the 4x100m relay.

200m World Champion Shericka Jackson withdrew from the 2024 Paris Olympics due to a hamstring injury sustained during the Gyulai István Memorial in Hungary, leading her to pull out from both races.

Two-time Olympic gold medalist Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce unexpectedly withdrew from the 100m semi-finals on Saturday due to injury. The 37-year-old Jamaican legend, dubbed the sprint queen, has faced a challenging year and is now likely to have finished her Olympic career.

Both athletes join double Olympic champion Elaine Thompson-Herah, who withdrew from the Olympics due to injury before the Games began.
