Olympic silver medalist Kishane Thompson, three-time Olympic gold medalist Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, and global sprint star Shericka Jackson are among the headliners named to Jamaica’s squad for the 2025 World Athletics Relays, set for May 10–11 in Guangzhou, China.

The Jamaica Athletics Administrative Association (JAAA) has announced a 39-member team filled with Olympic and World Championship-caliber athletes. Among the notable names are the Clayton twins—Tia and Tina—and World U20 100m champion Alana Reid, all selected for the women’s 4×100m and the 4×100m mixed relay events. On the men’s side, Ackeem Blake and seasoned sprinter Yohan Blake will anchor the 4×100m relay squad.

The 4×400m and 4×400m mixed relay teams will be led by Stacey-Ann Williams, Roneisha McGregor, and Shiann Salmon, while the men’s 4×400m team features Malik James-King and Javier Brown.

Both Fraser-Pryce and Jackson were sidelined by injuries during the 2024 Paris Olympics, missing out on the 100m, 200m, and relay finals. Their return marks a major boost to Jamaica’s chances on the global stage.

The 2025 edition marks the seventh staging of the World Athletics Relays and the first time the event will be held in China. All races will take place at the Guangdong Olympic Stadium, with heats on May 10 and finals on May 11.
