Govana, Valiant, Stalk Ashley and Demarco on the outstanding list this week

Govana releases an official song for his recent viral preview, Valiant offers the first single from upcoming mixtape, Stalk Ashley once again displays her singing ability and also Demarco and Stephen Marley among our top picks. Who else made our weekly list?

It's Not the quantity, but the quality speaks. This week Govi embraced a potential summer hit, Valiant once again came up with a brilliant creative mind, Ashley only gets better while DeMarco and Stephen Marley did their part impressively. And there were also a few others with not bad released at all. here we go.


Govana – "Grandmaster" Govana is known for his ability to produce captivating songs by using relevant topics. After teasing his catchy single on his Instagram page in recent weeks, the deejay finally dropped his 'Grandmaster' single which showcases his captivating rap flow, humor and lyricism. The beat which was already made popular by the hit single ‘Frsh Drop’ by Aidonia is continuing to gain even more momentum.



Valiant – "Muhammed" We have previously mentioned in past weeks that Valiant showcases his creative mind and re-invents himself every time. Ahead of the release of his debut mixtape, '4:14', the dancehall leading force has dropped the first single from the project titled, 'Muhammad'. Inspired by the legendary boxer, Muhammad Ali, he uses creative wordplay and sings; "Look how long me a fight dawg, call me a fighter." Whether you're a fan or unwavering critic, you just can't deny his creative deliveries.



Skeng – "My Mada" Skeng's versatility is witnessed in this single which is different from his customary up-tempo vibey songs. This melodic track is accompanied with a music video to remind us that there are also single mothers who play the father figure role. The release date on Father's Day is definitely a brilliant move and emphasizes that the artiste is thinking out of the box. The single was co-produced by Di Truth Records and Topalone.



Stalk Ashley – "Top Body" Stalk Ashley is one of Jamaica's hottest dancehall stars and on her debut single for renowned label, ‘Mixpak’, she delivers the smooth and sensual dancehall single, ‘Top Body’. The beat, which is a dancehall type, blends with Pop & Afro influences and is precisely wrapped with her uncanny talent to deliver lyrics with her pure R&B style voice.



Jah Vinci – "Rave" With the summer heating up, dancehall artistes immediately step up the pace. Jah Vinci releases a new bouncy track on this refreshing beat by his producer/manager, Notnice Records. The ‘World Singer’ as he is usually referred to, uses once again, his smooth voice and words that echo the typical message of cleanliness and new brands.



Demarco – "Jan Crow" Demarco delivers again with his new single on the infectious ZJ Liquid / Panda’s new project; ‘Pied Piper Riddim’, which is now followed up by the highly anticipated video. The ‘Good Book’ deejay, who recently had a performance in Jamaica, is currently on the island for an extensive promotional run. He has been doing multiple interviews on all the top local platforms, promoting the project. His smash hit single ‘Good Book’ was also produced by the ZJ and they hope to regain similar success from this collaboration.



Stephen Marley – "Old Soul"

After the painful loss of his son, Jo Mersa; reggae singer Stephen Marley pays tribute to his family in this beautiful song that combines precise guitar sounds. The music video showcases a retrospective concept that includes family photos with a deep meaning – show love to your loved ones. A masterpiece that was also covered in the well-known magazine, Rolling Stone.



Skimask – "Hurt" Rising dancehall artiste, Skimask maintains consistency; the dancehall entertainer releases another melodic single which shows a more fragile side of the artiste and is already placed in the #28 spot on YouTube trending in Jamaica, matched well with the new beat produced by Week Day of Tru Ambassador Ent.



Blvk H3ro Ft. Dre Island – "Annabella" Grammy-nominated singer, Blvk H3ro collaborates with reggae singer, Dre Island on a song sharing their appreciation for the divine feminine body. The afro-soul fusion beat is perfect to match the song’s lyrics which are also accompanied with a high-quality music video, starring Jamaican dancer Radha Ruiz.



Other notable songs worth mentioning are those of Marksman who made a comeback with 'Chinese Skip', Quada who shot hard-hitting lyrics on ‘T-Shirt’, Malie Donn, who delivers a vibey single titled 'Cups Up' and Bounty Killer who saluted the 'Genuine Fathers'.
