Boasting a portfolio of cover art designs for renowned dancehall artists such as Chronic Law, Tommy Lee Sparta, Vershon, Nhance, Kant10t, Daddy1, and Silk Boss, Montego Bay native Grafix Boss is steadily building his place among the young talents in Jamaica’s creative scene.
Born Odriane Smith, Grafix Boss began his design journey during the pandemic in 2020 and quickly earned recognition for his ability to craft visually striking art that enhances the essence of the music it represents. “Mi decide to take things seriously during the pandemic. While mi had some time to practice, I felt more comfortable,” he expressed.
Since then, Grafix Boss has built a quality portfolio. However, beyond cover art, he’s also carving out a name for himself as a videographer. His work includes directing music videos for artists like Rygin King, Sliq One, and Khalifah X6. “Mi individual art, so mi know how to balance those worlds and bring my vision into every specific field,” he shared.
Known for his innovative approach, Grafix Boss serves as the personal videographer for Skelly Dan, an artist recognized for using digital marketing strategies to propel rising talents to stardom. In addition to his videography work, Grafix Boss also manages his older brother, Sylva OG, further showcasing his versatility within the industry.
With his multi-faceted skill set and growing influence, Grafix Boss is quickly becoming a standout figure in the Jamaican creative industry.
