Veteran reggae singer Gramps Morgan of Morgan Heritage is expanding his creative reach with a new project — a reggae-inspired children’s audiobook titled The Gingerbread Mon.

Following the release of his album Positive Vibration, Gramps began attracting a new wave of fans and supporters. While performing at a show in Alabama, he was presented with the idea of doing a children’s book — a dream he had always hoped to fulfill. He jumped at the opportunity.

Gramps envisions the book as a fun and educational way for children around the world to learn about Jamaica — its culture, accent, and lifestyle. He believes the project will also encourage kids to enjoy reading. Looking ahead, he expressed interest in doing voiceover work for major platforms like Disney, Nickelodeon, and Pixar.

Gramps says, “I encourage all parents from around the Caribbean to get the book. It’s read by me and written by Kristin McFadden.” He added, “I look forward to touring the schools in Jamaica and reading this book to the kids.”

The Gingerbread Mon was written by Kristen McFadden, who is affiliated with an organization that previously collaborated with the late American singer-songwriter and author Jimmy Buffett.
