Established Reggae and dancehall artist I-Octane is making a powerful return to his roots with God & I, a deeply personal 15-track album set for release on Friday, April 25.

Following the lead single "Opportunist" featuring Shane O, I-Octane continues the momentum with features like Vershon on "Life Is a Blessing", and production from a lineup of renowned and established names including Countree Hype, Armz House Records, Seanizzle, Big Zim Records, and more.

The project, managed by Wendy Morgan of Beautiful People Management and distributed by Music Xchange, marks a soulful shift for the artist—one that embraces reflection, resilience, and raw honesty. It offers fans the heartfelt sound they've been missing from the seasoned hitmaker.

"This project is personal to me. A lot of people turned their backs on me over hearsay and never gave me a chance. I almost lost everything because of how they tried to tarnish my name and brand. It made me shift focus at one point, questioning why I should heal others when they had no compassion for me. But last year, I woke up and realized that if I didn’t speak my truth, I would lose myself. So, I decided to just sing without worrying about who will listen. That’s why I named the project God & I,” Octane shared.

The release follows the success of "Opportunist," a standout track produced by I-Octane’s five-year-old daughter, Nahbi Reign, under her NiNi Records label, remarkable not only for its message but also for its extraordinary origin.

Accompanied by a visually striking music video directed by BlingBlang, "Opportunist" has amassed over 3 million views, breaking into Jamaica’s YouTube trending chart and earning a spot on the U.S. iTunes Reggae Chart.

With a career spanning nearly two decades, I-Octane, whose given name is Byiome Muir, has long been a fixture in reggae and dancehall. Now, he's embracing a new chapter that reconnects him with his spiritual and musical foundation.
