Inner Circle spreading reggae month across Florida


Ahead of Reggae Month in February, the iconic reggae band Inner Circle, known as the “Bad Boys of Reggae,” will host a special event honoring Rohan Marley, Ky-Mani Marley, and members of Toots and The Maytals. The celebration is set to take place on Wednesday, January 29, at Circle House Studios in Miami.


The event will feature performances by Ky-Mani Marley, members of Toots and The Maytals, and Kumar Fyah, with Inner Circle also set to take the stage.


“We feel reggae is looking for the essence of its spiritual and cultural ethnicity. We want to keep the universal message of love and reach people from the heart. I want to bring back the essence. Let’s Make Reggae Irie Again,” said Ian Lewis, founder of Inner Circle.



As part of their commitment to “Make Reggae Irie Again,” Inner Circle is dedicating February, internationally recognized as Reggae Month, to celebrating the genre’s cultural and spiritual heritage. Throughout the month, a series of events will spotlight Jamaican artists, businesses, and entrepreneurs across South Florida, with activities planned in cities such as Fort Lauderdale, Miramar, Plantation, and Davie. Further details about these events will be unveiled at the January 29 gathering.


The Grammy Award-winning reggae band Inner Circle, is world-renowned for the Bad Boys movie theme song Bad Boys and Sweat. Founded by South Florida-based brothers Ian and Roger Lewis, Inner Circle is celebrating an impressive 56 years of playing reggae music together, symbolizing their enduring love and longevity in the genre. As they continue their legacy, the Bad Boys of Reggae are set to release their highly anticipated new album, "Reality", in 2025.
