Iyara Drops First Body of Work in 6 Years with 8-Track EP 'Rope Buss Weh'

Dancehall artist Iyara returns with new EP Rope Buss Weh featuring collaboration with Turbulence and viral singles 'GOAT Get Weh' and 'Big Vibe'


Drops eight-track EP after six-year hiatus


Dancehall artiste Iyara has dropped his first body of work in six years with 'Rope Buss Weh', a new eight-track EP produced by Bellevue Entertainment.


The eight-track EP includes a collaboration with Turbulence titled, "Braveheart" and features tracks such as viral single, "GOAT Get Weh," "Bad Gyal," "Believe," "Try Mi," "Clap," "Rope Buss," and the chart-topping single "Big Vibe" (Arubadubadu).


“I put in over 100% in this project because I am always aiming for greatness, and great work brings great results,” said Iyara.“From the Rope Buss EP, the fans can expect the highest level of musical productions, diversity, unique creativity and flows, as well as delivery with an expression of soulful music,” he shared.



When asked about the inspiration behind the title of the EP, Iyara explained, "he inspiration came from the journey of my career and my hit song GOAT Get Weh. At one point I felt like I was tied up musically, mentally and emotionally but the goat never stopped applying the pressure till the rope buss."


Dancehall artist Iyara, born Eric Sommers in 1984 in the rural community of Bellevue, nestled in the hilly areas of Portland, later relocated to Kingston. He now resides in the United States.
