Jahazeil Myrie, creating his own journey
Recording artiste, Jahazeil Myrie, son of Reggae-dancehall legendary Buju Banton, released a new single titled "Through The Storm". The song encourages people to keep faith even in difficult times.
The 26-year-old artiste also pays tribute to one of his mentors, dancehall deejay, Spragga Benz, while he mentions the veteran deejay over the chorus.
The song was released 3 weeks, produced by Double Trackz Production and mixed by Tekktroniic and accompanied by a lyric video. It's distributed via OneRPM and available on all platforms.
Jahazeil Myrie hails from Kingston, Jamaica has started pursuing music officially at the age of 15, and got inspired by seeing artistes performing live on stage, or in the studio beside his father. "I realized that I wanted to become an artiste the more I got older and grew into it because of my father", he said as mentioned Bounty Killer as his main influencer.
The artiste has released his first official single titled "Jah Me Seh" back in 2015. the song, which was produced by his cousin Kevin from Payday Music Group.
Since then he has worked with Delly Ranx’s Pure Music Production, his brother's Markus Records label, LMR Productions and Spragga Benz’s Redsquare Productions. He also collaborated with artistes such as Quada, Iwaata and Abaatu, the son of Reggae legend Tony Rebel.
