The famous Jamaica Rum Festiva is set to return in partnership with Reggae Sumfest, officially announced during its launch on March 27 amidst the lush backdrop of The Ruins, nestled within the University of the West Indies.

The collaboration with Reggae Sumfest will feature the Appleton Estate Jamaica Rum Festival, scheduled for Thursday, July 18, 2024, at the Catherine Hall Sports Complex in Montego Bay. This event will be a highlight among the week-long series of exhilarating activities planned for the annual reggae concert.

Celebrating the return of the well-supported festival, Stefano Furini, Marketing Director at J. Wray & Nephew Limited provided an overview of the event and unveiled the partnership. "We are excited to be hosting the Appleton Estate Jamaica Rum Festival for its 5th staging. Lovers of the festival have missed it and so have we. This year however is particularly special. We have partnered with Reggae Sumfest to offer patrons – locals and tourists alike - great entertainment and an opportunity to experience the rich heritage of our rums."

The rum festival will run its usual day-to-evening format but with a surprise twist. Expect informative rum seminars, delicious food, and lively performances throughout the day. As the event wraps up, attendees will enjoy the Blitz concert featuring local and international acts like Beenie Man, Walshy Fire from Major Lazer, Brush1, and Franco.

Joe Bogdanovich, CEO of DownSound Entertainment and Executive Producer of Reggae Sumfest, expressed excitement about the partnership. "This association is a big boost for us, it’s really a global relationship. This is a three-year relationship and after all these years of hard work it’s really good to be able to develop Reggae Sumfest and the company into an international brand and being with Appleton Estate, they are an inspiring brand to work with, it's a global view."
