Jamaica's Rasheed Broadbell Edges Olympic Champion Grant Holloway in Lausanne

Olympic bronze medalist Rasheed Broadbell won his race with a time of 13.10s, Tia Clayton finished 5th in the 100m, and Ackera Nugent secured 3rd place in the 100m hurdles

The athletics season is back on track today, following the 2024 Paris Olympics, with the Lausanne Diamond League meeting.


Olympic 110m hurdles bronze medalist Rasheed Broadbell won in the race, finishing in 13.10s. He narrowly defeated Olympic champion Grant Holloway, who took second place with a time of 13.14s, while former Olympic champion Hansle Parchment secured third.



In the 100m event, Jamaica's Tia Clayton finished 5th, clocking 11.10s. Britain's Dina Asher-Smith won the race with a season-best time of 10.88s.


Netherlands's Femke Bol delivered a stellar performance, breaking her own meet record with a time of 52.25s to win the women's 400m hurdles. Jamaica's Rushell Clayton, who led through the first half, finished 2nd in 53.32s, while Janieve Russell took 3rd with 54.48s.



Puerto Rican Jasmine Camacho-Quinn delivered a strong performance in the women's 100m hurdles at the Lausanne Diamond League, clocking 12.35s (-0.9). Grace Stark of the USA surged in the final stages to secure 2nd place in 12.38s, narrowly edging out Jamaica's Ackera Nugent, who finished 3rd with the same time.


Miltiadis Tentoglou snatched victory in the men's long jump at the Lausanne Diamond League with a leap of 8.06m (+0.7), edging out Jamaica's Wayne Pinnock, who set an 8.01m jump.
