Jamaican actor Cornelius Grant, who portrayed Marshall, earned equal respect alongside the film's main cast members. In an exclusive interview with Kaboom Magazine regarding his portrayal, Grant delves into the challenges, surprises, and achievements of his role. "My experience was something I never expected so quickly. They treated me fairly like any of the lead actors even though I am cast number 17th", he expressed.
Grant encountered the challenge of sourcing information on Bucky Marshall, a journey that took him to the heart of Arnett Garden. He dedicated himself to the task of gathering details. "The only challenging aspect was trying to gather information on Bucky to help me know more about him. I had to go to Arnette Gardens and pretend to be a student from the University of the West Indies to get a little info about Bucky. I told someone I was a media student from Carimac doing research on him", he shared.
Grant, facing both imagination and challenges on set
Grant elaborates on how he handled the lack of substantial information about Bucky's life. "I had to work with the little I had and internalize the character with the little info and push it into my head and just hope for the best outcome for the character. I simply aimed to do justice in portraying a real-life individual for whom there wasn't much information available.

"Some part of their relationship as friends had broken but they both found ways to mend it back because the aim of the message was to unite the people and stop the violence with the community and surrounding area. The message was Love," Grant explained. "Bucky was more the head of security for Bob when he was at home or anywhere Bob felt he needed to be protected".
Cornelius connected with the film's themes of resilience, identity, and social justice through Bucky Marshall's lens. The character's journey showcased the importance of pushing through trials and tribulations to achieve a greater goal, a message Cornelius hopes the audience will embrace.
