After a bustling day in Kingston, fueled by rumors of superstars like Rihanna and Drake making appearances, Vybz Kartel ignited the dancehall scene with an electrifying Freedom Street Concert that created a night to remember.

The event drew thousands of fans to Kingston, including many from overseas, as it became the epicenter of dancehall. With nearly every Jamaican artist eager to be part of the spectacle, the stage transformed into a vibrant showcase of talent.

Kartel shared the spotlight with both established and emerging stars, welcoming some of the new generation of dancehall artists to the stage. Among the 2024 breakout stars were "Dunce Man" deejay Jamal, who delivered his hit “Ballandor” along with the trendy track “Time”; Eddy G, who captivated the crowd with his fan-favorite “No Cap” and the energetic “Luigi”; and Nhance, the son of Kartel's former Portmore Empire member Sheba, who also got his moment to shine.

The most impressive performance came from Skeng, who, despite not being closely affiliated with Kartel’s camp, was given the blessing of the road. Donning a mask, he burst onto the stage with electrifying energy to perform his hit “Protocol” alongside Tommy Lee Sparta.

Adding to the excitement were other new-generation acts like Chronic Law and Skillibeng, who were part of the lineup from the start, as well as Kartel's sons, Likkle Addi and Likkle Vybz, who contributed to the night's success.

For the younger generation, Kartel is more than an icon—he’s a foundational influence. Sharing the stage with the Worl’ Boss at such an iconic event marks a milestone in their careers and a memory they’ll cherish for a lifetime.
