Reggae icom Jimmy Cliff's timeless hit "You Can Get It If You Really Want" has been certified Silver in the United Kingdom.
The British Phonographic Industry (BPI) announced that the song received the Brit Certified Silver Award on Friday, November 29, after surpassing 200,000 units sold in the UK, as verified by The Official Charts Company.
Jimmy Cliff's iconic earns silver in the UK
This marks Cliff's second certification in the UK. His first came in October with "I Can See Clearly Now," which also achieved Silver plaque.
"You Can Get It If You Really Want" was originally released in 1970 and gained global popularity. It is one of the two leading tracks, alongside the theme song, from the soundtrack of the iconic Jamaican drama film The Harder They Come, which was released in 1972.
