Trinidadian international soca star Kes' first release for Carnival 2025, "Cocoa Tea," continues its domination of the US iTunes Reggae chart while making waves on streaming platforms across the region and the US. Released on November 15, the single has already amassed over 2.3 million views on YouTube, solidifying its viral success..

The track has claimed the number-one spot in Trinidad, Guyana, Antigua, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Grenada, the British Virgin Islands, Dominica, and Anguilla, and is also among the top 10 streamed songs in several other countries. On TikTok, "Cocoa Tea" has gone viral, being featured in over 66,000 videos, including 32,000 using the original sound, collectively amassing 61 million views.

Adam Gross, President of Ineffable Records, highlighted the song's success in a recent Instagram post on Sunday, stating, "Cocoa Tea came out three weeks ago and the numbers that it is doing are unprecedented for any Soca record and are the best numbers any Kes song has ever done out the gate, as it looks to hopefully be the biggest Kes record of all time", he enthused.

The track, written by Kees Dieffenthaller, Michael "Tano" Montano, and reigning Trinidad and Tobago Road March King Mical Teja, features background vocals by Tano, rising star Denzil "Coutain," and Terri Lyons.

Kes recently concluded their third annual US East Coast Tour, which featured electrifying performances in Montreal, Boston, Philadelphia, Silver Spring (Maryland), Norfolk (Virginia), Raleigh (North Carolina), and Atlanta.

The band will mark their 20th anniversary with their annual Carnival Festival Experience, "IZWE 2025," set to take place on Tuesday, February 25, at the Queen's Park Savannah in Port of Spain.
