Kishane Thompson clocks stunning result; Jackson triumphs in Women’s 100m, Tia Clayton impressed

The Jamaican trials for the Paris Olympics concluded with thrilling finals in the men's and women's 100-meter events.
In a stunning race, sprinter Kishane Thompson set a new personal best of 9.77 seconds (+0.7), making him the fastest man in the world for 2024. with that impressive result, he becomes the 9th fastest man in history. Thompson outpaced Oblique Seville, who finished second with 9.82 seconds, while Ackeem Blake secured third place in 9.92 seconds.
Tokyo 2020 bronze medallist, Shericka Jackson, claimed victory in the Jamaican Women’s 100m, clocking 10.84 seconds (-0.3). The 19-year-old sensation Tia Clayton, who won her semis heat with 10.86 seconds (Ahead of Jackson), secured second place with a time of 10.90 seconds. Three-time Olympic champion Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce took third, crossing the line in 10.94 seconds. all three headed to Paris 2024.
Two-time Olympic champion Elaine Thompson-Herah withdrew from Paris earlier in the week due to an Achilles injury sustained at the NYC Grand Prix in early June.
