LeBron James became the first player in NBA history to surpass 50,000 combined points, leading the Los Angeles Lakers to a 136-115 victory over the New Orleans Pelicans.

The league's all-time leading scorer, James finished the game with 34 points, bringing his career total to 50,033—over 6,000 points ahead of second-place Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.

His record-breaking tally includes 41,871 regular-season points and 8,162 postseason points, making him the NBA’s top scorer in both categories.

The 40-year-old reached this milestone in his 22nd season, tying Vince Carter for the most seasons played in league history.
