Aston Villa’s Leon Bailey set for return to Jamaica’s squad after recovering from latest hamstring injury, could play in Villa’s match vs Wolves
Leon Bailey, set for Premier League and International comeback after injury
Reggae Boy Leon Bailey could be set to feature in Jamaica's upcoming Concacaf Nations League matches against Nicaragua and Honduras on October 10 and 14, respectively, following his recovery from a hamstring injury.
The Aston Villa winger picked up the injury three weeks ago during Villa’s 2-1 win over Leicester City. Having returned to full training, Bailey was included in the squad for Villa’s Champions League clash against Swiss champions Young Boys.
While he didn’t play in Villa’s 3-0 away win, Bailey is eyeing a possible return in Saturday's Premier League match against Wolves.
Bailey was initially recalled to Jamaica's national team by new head coach Steve McClaren but had to withdraw after suffering the injury, missing the Concacaf Nations League fixtures in September.
Aston Villa has at least five more matches before Jamaica’s next international game, including three Premier League fixtures and a Champions League encounter against Bayern Munich on October 2.
