Reggae star Lila Iké is teaming up with British shoe brand Clarks Shoes for a back-to-school event on September 1, 2024, in her hometown of Christiana, Jamaica.

The initiative aims to provide essential support to local children by distributing school supplies and shoes, easing some of the financial burdens on families and ensuring students are well-prepared for the upcoming school year. This year, the event will also focus on repairing the Christiana Moravian Primary School, which suffered damages during Hurricane Beryl, to ensure it is ready for the new school term.

Lila Iké expressed her excitement about the event, emphasizing the importance of community and education in her life. "My mother struggled during back-to-school preparations to get us the tools we needed for the academic year ahead. I know there are a lot of children facing similar challenges right now and the goal is to help in what ever way I can," she shared.

By partnering with Clarks Shoes, Lila Iké is inviting others interested in helping to join the effort.
