West Ham's coach, Julen Lopetegui, shared positive news about Reggae Boyz striker Michail Antonio's recovery following a severe car accident last Saturday.

Despite suffering a lower-limb fracture, Lopetegui emphasized that Antonio's health is the top priority and remains optimistic about his eventual return to the pitch.

"The most important thing is that he's alive, he's good," Lopetegui said. Despite the injury, he remains hopeful about Antonio's future in football. "He broke his femur, but he's going to recover for sure. He's going to need time. It's about time."

The Hammers striker, 34, is a crucial missing piece for his team and coach during their busy Premier League schedule. However, the under-fire Spanish boss added enthusiastically, "Despite the fact that we are unhappy because we lost a very important player for us, we are happy because he's going to be ready."

"Now he's strong. He's recovering, and in the next month for sure, he's going to be ready to be a player," he added.
