Magnum & Jussbuss TV teaming up to launch Weh Yuh Know Bout Dancehall", more than a show, it’s a movement

Magnum Tonic Wine, in collaboration with Jussbuss TV, has unveiled its exciting new television series, Weh Yuh Know Bout Dancehall, which premiered on Friday, February 21, at 23 Dominica Drive.


The launch was a night to remember, featuring renowned host Naro Hart from The FIX, who seamlessly guided the audience through an evening that celebrated more than just a locally produced series. It highlighted dancehall’s evolution, its economic potential, and its promising future.


The highlights of the night were Deno Crazy captivating the crowd while giving fans the chance to test their dancehall knowledge and win prizes.



Each episode of "Weh Yuh Know Bout Dancehall" airs twice on Fridays and then rebroadcast on Mondays at 1:30 PM, reaching an estimated weekly audience of over one million viewers. Already receiving strong support from the dancehall community, the series spans approximately 12 episodes, leading up to a highly anticipated finale on Friday, May 9.


Brandon Wallace, Magnum Tonic Wine’s Brand Manager, who laid down the mission shared, “Magnum has long been a champion of dancehall culture. We’re not just a brand, we’re deeply committed to supporting and elevating the talent that pushes this incredible culture forward. When the team from Jussbuss brought this exciting new initiative to us, it was an easy decision. ‘Weh Yuh Know Bout Dancehall’ isn’t just about entertainment’ it’s an educational platform that allows both Magnum and Jussbuss to grow, while shining a spotlight on the heart of dancehall.”


Sheldon Whyte, Digital Manager at Magnum, reinforced that digital storytelling and authentic cultural narratives were key drivers behind the partnership. And when Jussbuss executives Andrew Jackson and Pierce McLean hit the stage, it became even clearer that ‘Weh Yuh Know Bout Dancehall’ isn’t just a series – it’s history in the making.

As the night wound down, 23 was abuzz that ‘Weh Yuh Know Bout Dancehall’ is primed to become a movement. “This is what dancehall needs to celebrate dancehall’s past, present, and the limitless potential of its future. With Magnum Tonic Wine and Jussbuss at the helm, dancehall’s narrative is in good hands,” said Keanu Gordon, Cinematographer and Dancehall Music Producer more popularly known by the moniker ShotbyDeth.


In true dancehall style, the launch wrapped up with DJ Squeak returning to the decks, keeping the energy high well into the night. One thing is certain—this is just the beginning. The real question is: Weh yuh know bout dancehall?
