Rising Jamaican dancehall star Malie Donn has dropped his debut full-length project, "The Grand Rising", on November 22. Produced by Dan Sky Records and Attomatic Records, with distribution by VPAL Music, the album signifies a pivotal milestone in the career of the Spanish Town native.
Currently, the 11-track project is making waves on iTunes, debuting at #12 on the Top 100 Reggae Albums chart. The single "Alive," featuring Byron Messia, has also entered the Top 100 Reggae Songs chart, underscoring the album's growing momentum.
The Grand Rising masterfully weaves Malie Donn's raw ambition with atmospheric beats and stark narratives of Jamaica's gritty realities, creating a body of work that feels both deeply personal and universally impactful.
The project showcases Malie Donn's versatility as an artist with tracks like “7:00,” featuring Armanii, which indulges in unrestrained excess, while “Cry,” featuring Squash, transforms into a heartfelt tribute to a fallen friend.
