Dancehall superstar Masicka continues to strengthen his legacy in dancehall history and there's no more denying his place among the game's elite. The gifted songwriter and former Calabar High School student, has become one of the most prominent names in the industry over the past few years, and he's only getting better.

The hitmaking machine uses his gritty flow and unparalleled lyrical prowess to produce hit songs for every release. From the moment the song is previewed, it immediately generates high anticipation and virality.

The deejay has recently released his latest single titled, 'Tyrant’ which has already spent 3 weeks at the #1 spot on the YouTube trending chart in Jamaica, surpassing the 3-million viewership mark on the platform.

The intensification of Masicka’s career received a further boost earlier this year; inking a deal, joining the already long and elite group of artistes on the roster of New-York based, world-renowned label - Def Jam Records. The label's current roster bolsters international acts such as Justin Bieber, 2 Chainz, and Dave East, just to name a few.

His catalog can only be matched by very few, with numerous hit songs in his arsenal. Top singles such as ‘They Don't Kow’, ‘Top Form’, ‘King Inna Earth’, ‘Update’, ‘Different Type’, ‘Suicide Note', ‘Image’ and many others, as well as collaborations with Dancehall superstars; Vybz Kartel, Popcaan, Stefflon Don and Jahshii are generating such an impressive list, making the artiste currently one of the most consistent and in-demand acts out of Jamaica. He continues to produce colossal hit songs with multi-million streaming and viewership across all the digital platforms.

After his masterful and widely successful debut album, ‘438’, which set some of the highest standards a Dancehall artiste can set for a body of work, Masicka is already working on a sophomore album. He has already secured his name among the Dancehall elites, while undeniably being one of the best songwriters in the genre. The 'Tyrant' deejay is destined for greatness and while he continues to work on his legacy at only 29 years of age, there's no denying his current place in the Dancehall space.
