Moments like this: Masicka proves top-notch status with a lively performance at Streetz

The dancehall star delivered electrified vibes in Kingston once again, endorsing unity with surprise guest performances by Popcaan, Jahshii, Chronic Law, Tarrus Riley and even Lila Ike

The music scene in Jamaica literally lives from one big event to another. Masicka's return to the Kingston stages for over 5 years was another seminal night for the dancehall industry, with a stunning performance backed by the super group of Ruff Kutt band.


Masicka sent a burst of dynamic energy across the National Stadium car park with a beautiful blast from his undeniable catalog with singles such as 'Top Form', 'Drug Lawd', 'Born Winner', 'I Wish', 'They Don't Know', 'Fiesty' and of course his latest hit single 'Tyrant' which become one of the highlights of the night.



Endorsing the unity in dancehall after recently ending a years-long feud with Aidonia that sent shockwaves throughout the entire industry, Masicka brought a few dancehall and reggae artistes on stage. Coming to the stage by storm Jahshii performed his colossal hit single, 'Pieces' with the 'Genasyde' artiste and gave some verses from his building catalog. Dancehall artiste, 10Tik also get his slice of the night by performing his hit single 'Roll Deep' among couple others.



The 'Where I Coming From' singer Lila Ike, also gave a surprising foray on stage followed by another surprise guest by reggae star, Tarrus Riley who performed his collaboration 'Corner' with Masicka and controlled the crowd with some other leading singles from his resume.


One of the Dancehall's current frontrunners, Chronic Law also took the stage performing some of his greatest hit. Escaping from his recent troubles with the law, Malie Donn also took over the stage for a short set and received warm reactions from the crowd, a testament to his rising popularity.

With one final surprise for the night, Masicka brought the Unruly Boss, Popcaan to perform their hit collab 'Pain' which placed a peak of good energy across the entire arena. Popcaan praised his fellow artistes when said: "You are one of the real dem, One of the Gads", and immediately they gave a taste of Popcaan's 'Real Thugz' single.


The patrons enjoyed all night long from electrifying and highly energetic sets by top-notch selectors such as Boom Boom & his World Team, Coppershot, ZJ Chrome & Shukkle Bus.

Masicka once again has proven himself a staple in the elite of the dancehall industry and gave the crowd what they have been waiting for at 'Streetz'.
